By plane

You can fly to Marseille Provence airport, located about 20 Km from Marseille's city centre.

You can also fly to Nice Côte d'Azur airport located about 200 Km from Marseille.

By train

You can get to Marseille Saint Charles train station by high speed train.

Marseille Saint Charles train station is located in the heart of the city, 5 Km away from Parc Chanot. Train tickets can be booked 3 months in advance from most countries.

By boat

You can get to Marseille by ferry from Corsica, Algeria, Tunisia and Sardinia. The port of Marseille is located 6 Km away from Parc Chanot.

From Marseille Provence airport

By Bus + Metro

  • Take the “91 LeCar” shuttle which directly connects the airport to Saint Charles train station.

  • Then take the M2 Metro line (red line) from St Charles Station direction Dromel to Rond Point du Prado Station.
  • Parc Chanot is located opposite the metro station.

By regional train (TER)

  • Take the free shuttle bus from the bus station Platform 5 (located at the airport exit) to Vitrolles-Marseille Provence Airport TER Station. For more information: https://www.marseille.aeroport.fr/parkings-et-acces/acces/trains
  • Then take the TER regional train from Vitrolles-Marseille Provence Airport Station to Marseille Saint Charles Station. For more information: https://www.ter.sncf.com/sud-provence-alpes-cote-d-azur
  • Then take the M2 Metro line (red line)  from St Charles Station direction Dromel to Rond Point du Prado Station.
  • Parc Chanot is located opposite the metro station.
    • “PASS régional” or “TER simple ticket” accepted, or get a 50% discount between 09:00 and 15:00.
    • “PASS Marseille” or “pass Métropole” or “bus/metro/tram ticket” accepted on the Metro.

From Nice Airport

From Aix-en-Provence train station

  • Take the regional train (TER) from Aix-en-Provence City Centre Station to Marseille Saint-Charles Station.
  • Then take the M2 Metro line (red line)  from St Charles Station direction Dromel  to Rond Point du Prado Station.
  • Parc Chanot is located opposite the metro station.

From Saint-Charles Station

  • By Metro:
    • The metro allows you to go directly to Parc Chanot via the M2 line (red line) from St Charles Station to Rond Point du Prado Station.
    • Parc Chanot is located opposite the metro station.
    • “PASS Marseille” or “PASS Métropole” or “bus/metro/tram ticket” accepted. See “Fares” section below.

From Marseille

  • By Metro:

    • Parc Chanot is accessible via the M2 line (red line) and the Rond-Point du Prado Station is located opposite the main entrance of Parc Chanot.
    • “PASS Marseille” or “PASS Métropole” or “bus/metro/tram ticket” accepted. See “Fares” section below.
  • By bus:

    • Several bus lines serve the Rond-Point du Prado Station: bus 19, bus 21, bus 22, bus 22s, bus 44 and the night bus 521.
    • “PASS Marseille” or “PASS Métropole” or “bus/metro/tram ticket” accepted. See “Fares” section below.

TER, bus, metro and tram fares

  • Bus/metro/tram ticket:
  • Single rate: 1,70€ (one way) valid for 1 hour.
  • Available at all RTM stations ticket offices.
  • One-way ticket on the basis of the usual TER fare scale:
  • Fare depending on the selected train, valid for 1 way.
  • Available online or at the train stations.

Region: the PACA region is a territorial authority. It is one of the 13 regions of France and encompasses the territories of Provence, the Alps and Côte d'azur. It includes, among others, the cities of Marseille and Aix-en-Provence. City of Marseille: the city of Marseille is the capital of the PACA Region and of the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône, and the basis of the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis.
